Holly Painter is a writer, academic copy-editor, and English lecturer at the University of Vermont.
Her first book, Excerpts from a Natural History, is a work of poetry, philosophy, counterfactual history, and ill-fated love.
Holly's fiction, poetry, and essays have also been published in literary journals in the US, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand and nominated for the Pushcart Prize. Her current projects include a non-fiction book on obsolete jobs and a poetry book based on cryptic crosswords.
Holly is also a freelance academic copy-editor. You might want to hire her before you send that thing you’ve written to a journal.
