Holly Painter is the author of Excerpts from a Natural History (Titus, 2015), an experimental poetic encyclopedia, counterfactual history of natural philosophy, travelogue, doomed workplace romance, & meditation on marginalia.
Her chapbook, My Pet Sounds Off: Translating the Beach Boys (Finishing Line, 2020), is a satirical English-to-English translation of Beach Boys hits.
Holly's next poetry collection, At last, we listen closely: cryptic crossword poems, will be published in 2022 by Black Spring Press.
Her fiction, poetry, & essays have been published in literary journals on four continents & nominated for the Pushcart Prize. She lives with her wife & two children in Vermont, where she teaches at the University of Vermont.
